Nestled under the shade of an ages-old oak tree, Grand Avenue Apartments provides much needed housing in Ojai. Built in 1976 and purchased by the Area Housing Authority in 2001, this project is a demonstration of multi-agency cooperation. With $100,000 from the City of Ojai, the Area Housing Authority was able to secure the additional financing through a tax-exempt note.

In addition, the units are restricted to residents whose income does not exceed 120% of the area median income.
